Oatmeal Cookies - Recipes for Kids

I love cookie recipes , and one of my favorites are  oatmeal cookies , but when I read the label and saw all the ingredients they contained, I decided to make them at home, so today I share with you this recipe for oatmeal cookies, so that encourage you to prepare them too.

Oat flakes is the way to take this complete cereal and oats are one of the cereals richest in proteins, fats (the good ones), carbohydrates and some vitamins, such as B1. It is an easily digestible cereal that we must include in our diet, so in addition to enjoying some delicious cookies , we are eating healthy.

These are basic oatmeal cookies , you can add raisins, dried fruit, chocolate chips, dried cranberries, apple…whatever you like.

These oatmeal cookies are perfect for your little ones to take these days, to the pool or the beach, ideal for them to recover their energy with a large glass of milk. I’m afraid we’ll have to take them too to be able to follow them…

Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Ingredients oatmeal cookies

  • 230 g of oat flakes
  • 100g of flour
  • 120g brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chemical yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence  or hazelnut

How to make oatmeal cookies

In a bowl we put the oat flakes, flour, brown sugar, yeast and salt, and mix everything. In another container, mix the eggs, the oil and the essence and add it to the previous mixture. We mix everything, I have only used a spatula to mix, no mixer or mixer is needed. Once everything is mixed, we form balls that we flatten with our hands and place on a baking tray.

Bake at 180ºC, it must be preheated, about 12 minutes or until you see that the edges are golden. Take them out and leave them on a rack. Once they cool they will finish hardening.
